Watch Justin Bieber Raise The Spirits Of Hillsong Church Crowd

By Martin Holmes.

When Justin Bieber isn't dodging charges for graffiti crime, he's hyping up large crowds of devoted Christians.

The "Love Yourself" singer jetted all the way to Australia earlier in the week to attend the annual Hillsong Church Conference in Sydney. While there the Canadian superstar encouraged the religious crowd to follow his dance moves, outstretching his arms to touch the sky and fist-pumping to Bruno Mars' "24K Magic."

Bieber later took to Instagram to share the video which he called "SO LIT."

In the clip, you can see the enthusiastic gathering replicate Bieber's every movement, while the announcer states over a loudspeaker, "Question is, can they stay in time with the Bieber?" The congregation manages to keep up with the 23-year-old popstar even when he starts dabbing and thrusting.

Later in the evening, the "What Do You Mean?" hitmaker was spotted watching the performances with pastor and friend Carl Lentz. Dressed in a white t-shirt emblazoned with the phrase "The Truth Shall Set You Free," the singer jumped and danced and gave peace signs to the crowds around him.

This marks the third time in the past two years Bieber has attended a Hillsong event in Australia. Lentz, who often travels with the popular performer during his visits to the country, denied claims that he accepts a financial reward for his attendance.

"No, we don't pay him to attend," the New York-based pastor told Australian TV show "Sunrise," "This is a volunteer thing. He comes on his own."

Lentz continued: "He sings, does what everybody else does. He does not perform. He is not on stage, he is just a face in the crowd. His face is really recognizable, but for him, it is just a chance for him to be as normal as he can."

On the topic of Bieber's faith, the 38-year-old said, "I think that Justin is a good Christian. I don't think his problems are behind him, but we all have to deal with other stuff to come. His relationship with Jesus is changing his life daily. It is one of those things where you never really get it, it takes a while to keep growing as a person."
