Tonight I have another Darling Diva Polish to show off!! One day I was browsing the DDP etsy store and Soap...Poisoning is the polish that drew me in. I went back and looked at it at least once a day for an entire week. It's nothing like I own, and I like that. I also like that it's packed full off my most favorite type of glitter - the iridescent, pearly, glowy glitters. The prettiest glitter ever, sigh. This is another polish from the Holiday 2012 collection which is inspired by the movie A Christmas Story. Ralphie, the main character, has to put soap in his mouth after saying a bad word. He imagines this whole scenario where he dies of soap...poisoning and his mother is beside herself with guilt. LOL.
So I initially tried SP over a-England Iseult but wasn't happy with the results. Though sheer and light, Iseult lessened the ethereal look of SP that I liked so much. So I scrapped that idea and did SP all on it's own. SP is a sheer, milky, pink base. Odd for me to fall for this polish because I am so NOT a fan of milky bases. But the milkiness actually built up to a sheer, shimmery pink-ish base. I used 3 coats of SP. The glitter goes on a tad thick, but a layer of topcoat smooths it out and makes it glossy and shiny. I think it's a perfect representation of a giant tub full of scented pink bath bubbles!
