Zedd's "I Want You To Know feat. Selena Gomez" - Single Review

This could be the start of a successful... business relationship. Dance producer Zedd, primarily known for his GRAMMY Award-winning "Clarity" featuring the vocals of Foxes, now teams up with rumored new girlfriend Selena Gomez for "I Want You To Know", the lead single off his second studio album.

While the new "I Want You To Know" initially sounds similar to most of the producer's past chart hits, after a few listens, the track becomes an inescapable, catchy dance tune that should have no problem getting listeners onto the dancefloor.

Selena Gomez is coming off of the unexpected success of her last single, the emotional "The Heart Wants What It Wants", which peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, but she seems to have now recovered from her heartbreak as she lets a new love in on the infectious new track. "I want you to know, that it's our time, you and me bleed the same light, I want you to know, that I'm all yours, you and me run the same course," she sings on the chorus.

Gomez has not always been the greatest vocalist, and her vocals do get overpowered by the loud production of "I Want You To Know", but when it all comes to an end she does turn out a commendable performance that her devoted fans appear to be enjoying. The song shot straight into the iTunes top ten upon it's release on Sunday.

The song may not be the retro experiment everyone was hoping for, it may not be the greatest release of 2015, but there's something about the collaboration that highlights promise from both of the young artists. Whether rumors of the two in a relationship are true, at least they know they produce some chemistry in the recording studio.
